For my dear friend, Denise, who is married to my dear
friend, David, and is mom to Carter and Walker. i've known
her for decades, love her like a sister, and credit her
with some of the fondest memories of my life. To my musical
ears, her laugh is one of the most wonderful sounds in all
the world. When we were both single, 'D' and i spent lots
of time together as just friends, in the course of which
she was confidant, encourager, social chairman, fashion
advisor, and wonderful all-around pal. If Denise hadn't
married another one of my other best friends in life, i'd
begrudge the fact that matrimony deprived me of time with
her.
