This sunset, i am watching
Makes me think of all the ones that passed me by
Because this world around my feet has somehow trapped me
And i rarely turn my face to see the sky
Slow down, slow down
Slow down, slow down
You are like some little kid, spinning round and round and
round
But you’ll lose your sense of balance in that twirl
it’s hard to be a Mary, in a Martha’s world
And somewhere in the stillness of the moment
i think that i can hear a gentle voice
i find a hundred reasons for my motion
But i realize it's really just my choice
Slow down ..
And the pace that i have chosen suits me poorly
But i’ve come to believe it’s how it’s got
to be
How many are the sunsets i’ve not noticed
And the miracles, i simply failed to see
So sunset do not go too quickly
Let the moment linger, let it last
Please do not be guilty of my error
Do not let the magic go so fast
Slow down …
in this Martha’s world
Lord, let me be like Mary in this Martha’s world
